Privacy
Effective October 7, 2026.
In short: You do not need an account. Search filters and optional location are processed in your browser. If you report an offer issue, we receive the report you submit.
What stays on your device
- Your filters are written into the page address so you can share or bookmark a search. That address is kept in your browser history like any other page you visit.
- If you install the app or visit more than once, your browser keeps a copy of the app's own files (its page, code, styles, and icons) so it can open without a connection. Offer data is never stored this way: offers are always loaded fresh from the website.
- We do not use cookies, local storage, or any other way to recognize you between visits.
Your location
Location is optional. If you tap Use my location, your browser asks your permission first. If you allow it, your coordinates are used only on your device to measure the distance to each dealer. They are never sent to us, and they are not saved: the page address shows the words "Current location", not your coordinates.
When you type a ZIP code, the app looks it up in your browser to calculate nearby results.
What our web server sees
Loading the website and offer data sends ordinary requests to our hosting providers. They may record standard request details, such as IP address, browser type, and request time, under their own policies. We do not use those logs to identify shoppers.
Offer issue reports
When you choose “Report an issue,” we receive the offer identifier, selected issue category, and any optional note you enter. We use reports to review and correct listings. Do not include your name, contact details, or other personal information. We reject obvious contact details, but cannot guarantee an optional note contains no personal information. Report submissions are retained for up to 90 days; routine provider security logs may follow a different retention schedule.
Links to dealers
Each offer links to the dealer's own website, where the offer was published. When you follow that link you leave Dealer Deal, and the dealer's own privacy policy applies. Dealers do not pay for placement and we do not share anything about you with them.
Children
Dealer Deal is meant for adults shopping for a vehicle and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. The offer-report form is for listing corrections, not emergencies or customer-service requests.
